The City Council on Tuesday voted to form a committee of community leaders to drum up public awareness of the 1990 U.S. census.
City Council members, school board members, state and national politicians and officials of local churches, schools, the Culver City Homeowners’ Assn. and the Chamber of Commerce will be among those invited to serve on the committee, which is to alert residents to the importance of filling out census forms in April.
The committee is to have its first meeting later this month.
