Santa Barbara Investor Raises Share in St. Ives

A Santa Barbara investor raised his stake in St. Ives Laboratories, a Chatsworth-based maker of shampoo and other personal-care products, to 10% of its stock from 7%.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Stephen J. Redding said he bought an additional 212,000 St. Ives shares, giving him a total of 693,500 shares.
Redding said he bought the latest stock between Oct. 6 and Dec. 6, at prices ranging from $10.37 a share to $11.99 a share.
