Suit Charges First Interstate Misled Shareholders: A class-action suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles Wednesday against First Interstate Bancorp, alleging that the bank holding company misled shareholders about the faltering financial conditions of two of its banks. The suit, filed on behalf of three shareholders, seeks class status for those who owned shares between Jan. 18, 1989 and Dec. 7, 1989. First Interstate declined comment. (Filed Dec. 13, 1989.
