Holiday boat parades have become a fixture off the coast of the county the last few years. The Cruise of Lights in Huntington Harbour, sponsored by the Huntington Harbour Philharmonic, takes participants on a tour of waterfront homes and yachts decorated for the holidays. It begins at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. daily through Friday. The Christmas Boat Parade in Newport Harbor features more than 200 decorated boats. The parade starts at Collins Island and travels around the harbor. It is sponsored by the Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce. Grandstand seating is available at the Sea Scout Base on West Coast Highway. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. today through Saturday.
