AUDIBLE GROAN: Like doctors concerned about the effect of stereo headsets on youngsters’ hearing (E1), Orange County state Sen. Cecil N. Green has had it with noisy sound systems. . . . He authored a bill that limits the sound level from car and truck stereos. Audio dealers are wailing, however, and fear a slump in sales for sophisticated mobile sound systems. . . . The stakes: Nearly half of the sales in the electronics industry are for vehicles--several million dollars a year in Orange County. . . . Green’s bill takes effect Jan. 1.
