NEW YORK — Watch for dueling Gumbels on morning television.
CBS said today that Greg Gumbel, younger brother of NBC “Today” co-host Bryant Gumbel, will report sports for “CBS This Morning” and occasionally substitute for co-anchorman Harry Smith. Greg Gumbel, who joined CBS Sports in 1988 as a part-time announcer and started working full time in October, will continue with CBS Sports, but do a sports segment on CBS’ low-rated morning show several times a week beginning Jan. 1.
