NEWPORT BEACH : Drive-In Motorists to Get Flu Shots
- Share via
About 2,000 people are expected to roll up their sleeves, stick their arms out their car windows and be inoculated for flu at a drive-through clinic set up in the parking lot of Hoag Hospital at 301 Newport Blvd.
Hoag nurses and physicians will form two lines to inoculate both driver and passengers from 8 a.m to 2 p.m.
“Last year we had people through here in all kinds of vehicles--sports cars, Rolls-Royces. One fellow pulled up on his motorcycle. It beats standing in line somewhere,” said hospital spokeswoman Pam Bolen.
The clinic, originally introduced as a convenience for the disabled, is sponsored by Hoag Hospital and the Orange County Health Department.
