San Diego Freeway Ramp to Be Partially Closed

Maintenance work in West Los Angeles this weekend will partially close a San Diego Freeway off-ramp that links northbound traffic with Santa Monica Boulevard, officials said Thursday.
The two-lane off-ramp’s right lane will be closed to traffic beginning today at 8 p.m., said state transportation department spokeswoman Margie Tiritilli. The lane will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, she said.
The maintenance work involves digging into parts of the road to replace a sewer line, said Griffith Stan Kincses, field superintendent for Griffith Co. of Long Beach, which will perform the work. Information on the cost of the project was unavailable.
