No Doubt Irish Will Take the Money and Run

Coach Lou Holtz has stated that Notre Dame might not go to a bowl game because the players have exams that would conflict with game preparation.
This is your basic propaganda about the scholarly pursuits of the Irish’s football players.
Notre Dame may graduate most of its players, but the core curriculum is certainly questionable. Why would Baptist players go to a Catholic school just to take “American studies” or “undergraduate studies”? For which career do these majors prepare you?
In reality, Notre Dame is your basic football factory college. There may be one or two scholars on the team each year, but basically it’s arithmetic, alphabet, “Dick and Jane” and hypocrisy that rule the day.
On Jan. 1, watch for Notre Dame to be in the $3.4-million Orange Bowl.
