Westlake 28, Cerritos 13--Warriors’ quarterback Todd Preston completed 16 of 29 passes for 272 yards and four touchdowns at Newbury Park High.
Westlake (4-5-1) scored on its first possession when Preston connected with Dave Monheim on a 12-yard touchdown pass, capping a 55-yard drive.
Cerritos (2-8) took a 7-6 first-quarter lead on a five-yard pass from Jon Neilsen to Keith Harris.
Westlake took the lead for good in the second quarter when Preston hit Seamus Gibbons with a 25-yard touchdown pass.
Westlake’s Luke Crawford caught a game-high five passes for 92 yards, including a 39-yard, third-quarter touchdown pass. Monheim made four catches for 81 yards.
