OFF BROADWAY: Lyricist Sheldon Harnick, who won a Tony for “Fiddler on the Roof,” is in Laguna Beach rehearsing a musical version of Frank Capra’s classic Christmas movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The Laguna Playhouse will present its world premiere on Dec. 5 at the Moulton Theatre. . . . Harnick wrote the show in the early ‘80s and has been trying to get it produced ever since. “I just want to see it on its feet,” he said.
