WHITTIER — The South Whittier Library is one of the first county libraries to begin operation of an automated circulation system. Each borrower will receive a plastic card with an account number that can be used in all branches of the Los Angeles County Public Library as they become part of the system.
Ninety-one branches are scheduled for automation. Once in full operation, the system will be the largest of its kind in the nation. The South Whittier Library is at 14433 Leffingwell Road.
