San Gabriel 29, Burroughs 0--San Gabriel (2-0, 3-4) drove 78 yards in six plays on its opening possession and scored two other touchdowns in the first half to take a commanding 23-0 lead at East Los Angeles College.
The Matadors got their final score late in the fourth quarter when Christian Estrada picked off a pass by Burroughs quarterback Danny Suarez and returned it 48 yards. Burroughs (1-6, 0-2) rushed for only 41 yards.
