A tournament at Cal State Long Beach featured eight teams of women competing for a perpetual trophy in a tradition that spans about 25 years. The all-sorority event, sponsored by Kappa Sigma fraternity, raised more than $1,000 to be divided between the Long Beach Chapter of Drug Abuse Resistance Education and an orphanage. Alpha Phi sorority went undefeated in five games, and also swept the spirit and cheer competitions, to become the champion.
