Convicted sex offender Luis Polonia’s request to be transferred from the Milwaukee County House of Correction to the Dane County Jail in Madison, Wis., was denied because of overcrowding at the Dane County facility.
Polonia, of the New York Yankees, is eligible for work release if he finds a job during his jail stay. Polonia is serving a 60-day sentence on a misdemeanor charge of having sex with a child. He pleaded no contest in August to having sex with a 15-year-old girl at a Milwaukee hotel.
