Smuggler of Illegals Jailed

MEXICO CITY — Joaquin Gonzalez Barcenas, one of southern Mexico’s most notorious smugglers of illegal aliens, has been caught, news reports said Friday. Gonzalez was arrested near the Guatemalan border while trying to smuggle seven undocumented Peruvians into Mexico, the government newspaper El Nacional said.
