UCI Varsity Defeats Alumni Volleyball Team

UC Irvine’s varsity volleyball team defeated an alumni squad, 8-15, 15-1, 9-15, 16-14, 15-4, Thursday at Crawford Hall.
Kim Collins of Tustin High School had 15 kills and three services aces for the varsity, which opens the regular season Sept. 2 at home against Boise State.
Michelle Kelly, who played at Irvine from 1979-83, led the alumni with eight kills.
