RJR Holdings Corp.: The New York-based holding firm for the RJR Nabisco Inc. international tobacco and consumer products company reported a second-quarter net loss of $309 million, contrasted with a profit of $354 million a year ago, due to substantial interest and amortization charges associated with the $25-billion acquisition of RJR Nabisco. Sales rose 4% to $3.91 billion. The firm said the results came despite strong performances by its tobacco and food operations.
