WORLD : Kiev Post Office Falls on Crowd

MOSCOW — The portico of the main post office in Kiev collapsed in heavy rain on a rush-hour crowd today, killing an unknown number of people.
The nightly television news bulletin Vremya showed live footage of the rescue effort, as hundreds of workers, police and passers-by worked to clear the debris. There was no immediate word on casualties.
The dramatic footage, captured by a passing cameraman, showed broken bodies being carried to waiting ambulances.
