Ourautograph Puts Signature on Victory

Ourautograph held off longshot Way Maker by one length and set a stakes record of 17.55 seconds while winning the $329,000 Kindergarten Futurity for 2-year-old quarterhorses Saturday night at Los Alamitos.
Ridden by Kip Didericksen, Ourautograph broke evenly from the rail and was hustled into the lead, holding off 25-1 shot Way Maker and Teller Cash, who went off at 30-1.
Ourautograph, winning for the sixth time in seven career starts, broke the record of 17.58 by Tolltac in 1983.
Ourautograph paid $10.60, $6.60 and $5.80. Way Maker paid $18.80 and $4.60, with Teller Cash returning $17.
