U.S. Leasing International Inc. said Tuesday that Peter M. Jones was elected president of its El Toro-based affiliate, Ford Equipment Leasing Co.
Jones replaces Donald E. Rennie. A spokesman for San Francisco-based U.S. Leasing said Rennie, who will remain for a while to facilitate the transition, decided to pursue other interests.
Jones, 48, had been president of First City Credit and its predecessor, Rainier Leasing Inc. in Seattle, since 1984.
Ford Equipment Leasing is a unit of Ford Motor Credit Co., which is managed by U.S. Leasing, also a Ford Motor Co. subsidiary. Headquartered in El Toro, the 4-year-old firm is a broad-based equipment lessor with 25 branches in major cities nationwide.
