THE SIDELINES : Sean Sutton to Change Schools
- Share via
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Point guard Sean Sutton, son of former Kentucky basketball Coach Eddie Sutton, announced today that he will transfer to another school in the wake of recent NCAA sanctions against the school’s basketball program.
But Sutton, who averaged 5.9 points and 4.7 assists per game last season, did not indicate where he will relocate.
Kentucky Athletic Director C. M. Newton said the school will release Sutton from his commitment to the university. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Sutton said it was the most difficult decision he had ever made. His father resigned under pressure in March.
