Local : Fire Hits Canoga Park Condo Project

A fire at a Canoga Park condominium construction project caused an estimated $175,000 in damage before it was controlled early this morning, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The fire was reported at 12:06 a.m. in the two-story structure in the 7100 block of Vassar Avenue, officials said. About 50 firefighters and two helicopters responded and extinguished the blaze in 25 minutes. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
