‘Ignoring the Roots’

Ever since George Bush was a presidential candidate, he’s been promising us a kinder, gentler nation. Kind and gentle to whom, you may wonder? Well, wonder no longer--he meant kinder and gentler to the NRA and the manufacturers of assault rifles!
Also, kinder and gentler to the people who enjoy killing living creatures (like humans) faster and more forcefully with those assault weapons. So we don’t have to wonder about that promise any more.
Now we can move on to education and environment. I dread the consequences!
