Coach Jim Valvano’s name has been put back into the title of Peter Golenbock’s book about the North Carolina State basketball program.

A New York publishing company planned to delete Valvano’s name from the book title to shorten it.

But a spokesman for the publishing company said that the decision was misconstrued, so the book has its original name, “Personal Fouls: The Broken Promises and Shattered Dreams at Jim Valvano’s North Carolina State.”
