NEC to Compete With Nintendo: NEC Home Electronics (USA) Inc. will unveil today Turbografx-16, an expandable, multi-use home entertainment system. The system, which will compete head-on in the $2-billion home video game market with the wildly popular Nintendo system, will offer optional entertainment accessories such as a compact disc player. The basic system will carry a price tag of $199 and will be shipped to retailers this fall for the holiday season.
