Kincaid Eliminated in Division II Singles

Allison Kincaid of Cal State Northridge was eliminated in singles competition in the NCAA Division II women’s tennis championships Wednesday at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, losing her second-round match to fourth-seeded Vicky Kanter of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 6-3, 6-2.
Kincaid, a junior, defeated Chris Jose of Cal State Bakersfield, 7-5, 6-2, in her first-round match Wednesday morning.
On Sunday, Kincaid dropped a straight-sets decision to Kanter, the most valuable player in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. this season, as San Luis Obispo defeated CSUN, 8-1, in team competition.
