LOCAL : Firefighter Hurt at Apartment Blaze

A firefighter was slightly injured this morning while attempting to put out a fire that caused an estimated $100,000 damage to a Canoga Park apartment building, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 1:24 a.m. at the two-story building in the 20700 block of Roscoe Boulevard, the Los Angeles Fire Department said. About 30 firefighters controlled the blaze in 30 minutes. One firefighter, whose name was not released, injured his back when he fell while climbing over a wall.
The fire displaced an unknown number of people who were living in an apartment that was extensively damaged by the fire. The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
