The State : Police Raid Wrong Home
After complaining to Sacramento police for nearly four months about a crack house on her block, Terri Tillman-Brown said officers raided the wrong place--hers. Police with a search warrant broke through the front door of Tillman-Brown’s home while she was away, neighbors said. The undercover officers ransacked her home, left her front door broken and open and her dog running free outside, Tillman-Brown said. They also opened a sealed bag of cremated ashes she said she had been keeping for a friend’s burial. “The sad part is we’ve been victimized by drugs,” said Tillman-Brown’s mother, Doris Gorin. “Now you see how we’re victimized by the people who are supposed to be protecting us.” Police declined comment on the case.
