Couple Sue Doctor Afflicted With AIDS

A couple has sued a doctor with AIDS and a Santa Monica medical clinic, alleging that they lied about his disease to encourage them to keep coming to the facility.
The lawsuit contends that the doctor should have informed them that he had a communicable disease before surgery was performed on Deborah Frank, who filed the suit in Superior Court along with her husband, Howard.
Dr. James Gordon, a specialist in infertility and reproductive endocrinology, and the Womens Medical Group of Santa Monica, which specializes in gynecology and obstetrics, were named as defendants in the suit.
Gordon has a suit pending against the medical group and its two presidents, alleging that they forced him out of the practice because he has AIDS and because he is homosexual.
