PREP BASEBALL : El Toro Catcher Toppo Will Attend UC Irvine

Scott Toppo, El Toro High School catcher, has made a verbal commitment to attend UC Irvine in the fall and plans to sign a national letter of intent on Wednesday, the first day a high school player is allowed to sign.
Toppo, batting .381 in his second season as a starter, plans to become a second baseman in college.
