Writer-newsman Nick Clooney will join his sister, singer Rosemary Clooney, in hosting the fourth annual “Singers’ Salute to the Songwriter” April 25 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The star-packed musical evening (with Carol Burnett, Bob Hope, Dinah Shore and Linda Ronstadt among the performers) is a benefit for the Betty Clooney Foundation for Persons With Brain Injury. Nick Clooney, a former news anchor at Channel 2 here, now lives in Kentucky and writes a column for the Cincinnati Post.
