United Flight Attendants to Protest: Flight attendants at United Airlines, upset with stalled contract negotiations, plan a series of informational pickets at 11 major U.S. cities served by the carrier, their union said. The Assn. of Flight Attendants said the pickets will begin today at airports in Los Angeles, Washington, Miami, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, Honolulu and Newark, N.J. The pickets will be off-duty flight attendants and service should not be affected, the union said.
