New Visions Pictures will not distribute “Wired,” the controversial film about the life and death of actor John Belushi, company officials said this week. The company had been in serious negotiations with F/M Entertainment, the producers of “Wired,” and industry sources said both parties were close to completing a deal. But director Taylor Hackford, chairman of New Visions, said Thursday that he decided against distributing the film because he “didn’t like it creatively. . . . You listen to your advisers, the upsides, the downsides, and ultimately you have to make a decision. It was totally a creative decision.”
