Graf Finishes Off Kelesi in 47 Minutes

BOCA RATON, Fla. — Steffi Graf beat seventh-seeded Helen Kelesi of Canada, 6-1, 6-1, in 47 minutes Friday in the quarterfinals of a $300,000 Virginia Slims tennis tournament.
In one semifinal, Graf will play fourth-seeded Helena Sukova of Czechoslovakia, who beat Halle Cioffi of Knoxville, Tenn., 6-3, 6-2.
The other semifinal will pit Jana Novotna of Czechoslovakia, a 6-3, 6-2 winner over Terry Phelps of Larchmont, N.Y., against third-seeded Chris Evert, who defeated fifth-seeded Mary Joe Fernandez, 6-2, 6-2.
