Police officers shot and killed a pit bull while serving a search warrant at a Logan Heights home Saturday, a spokesman said.
Officers from the Special Enforcement Division and Gang Detail were serving the warrant in the 3300 block of L Street shortly after 9 p.m. when they were attacked by the vicious dog, Sgt. Jim Long said. After shooting the dog, the officers entered the home, where they discovered 30 ounces of liquid PCP, nearly $1,000 in cash and several weapons, he said.
Rosa Cuevas, 43, was arrested and booked into County Jail at Las Colinas on felony drug charges.
