Swiss skiers dominated a World Cup women’s giant slalom when Maria Walliser won the race and Vreni Schneider clinched the season’s overall title at Furano, Japan.
Walliser had the fastest time in both runs--1:12.03 and 1:08.34--beating the combined 2:21.24 posted by Mateja Svet of Yugoslavia. Schneider was third in 21:28.98.
