Homicide detectives are investigating the stabbing death of an unidentified woman whose body was found early Sunday morning at a motel near the 32nd Street Golf Course.
Officers responding to a report of a bleeding man found the woman in a room at the Main Street Motel, police said. Outside the room, they found an unidentified man who had been stabbed in the chest.
The man was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he was in stable condition Sunday night, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Deputy Coroner Cal Vine said the woman was stabbed about 8 p.m. Saturday and died about 10:30 p.m.
