Security Pacific Corp. signed a definitive agreement to buy Southwest Bancorp, based in Vista, for $6 a common share. Southwest, with year-end assets of $386 million, has 18 banking offices--15 in northern San Diego County . . . The Investment Company Institute reported that the assets of the nation’s 454 money market mutual funds rose $1.46 billion to a record $289.01 billion in the week ended Feb. 15 . . . Mattel said it agreed to buy a 51% stake in Carolle S.A. of France, a privately owned manufacturer of high-priced, collector-quality dolls, for an undisclosed price. Carolle had revenue of $15 million last year.
