Hobbled Northridge Men to Meet Cal Poly Pomona
- Share via
Playing a game against Cal Poly Pomona, winless in 5 California Collegiate Athletic Assn. basketball games, might be considered a respite for Cal State Northridge under normal circumstances.
These are not normal circumstances.
The Matadors (11-7, 2-3 in CCAA play) play host to Cal Poly Pomona at 8:05 tonight, but CSUN will be without the services of starting center Todd Bowser, who will miss his second game because of a bruised hip.
CSUN’s other top front-line players, Alan Fraser and Kris Brodowski, are hobbled but will play.
Fraser is still bothered by a sprained ankle he sustained 3 weeks ago. Brodowski was forced out of CSUN’s game at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday because of bruised ribs. He is experiencing difficulty breathing but will play using a protective wrap.
Nate Macon is Pomona’s top scorer, averaging 16.9 points a game. Derrick Gathers leads Northridge with a 17.9 average.
