A 57-year-old Porterville helicopter pilot suffered major injuries and a worker on the ground was hit by flying parts after a gust of wind caused a hovering helicopter to crash, authorities said. The helicopter smashed into a truck, injuring pilot Lee Lembke and Nathan Behrens of Porterville. Lembke was reported in serious condition and Behrens in fair condition at a hospital following the accident about 10 miles east of Strathmore.
