It has occurred to me that one of the ways to get society back on an equal footing would be to take all the fines and other monetary punishments--such as Drexel Burnham Lambert’s $650 million fine--and put those monies into care centers for the homeless.
That seems a more positive solution than those fines going back into the general fund of the federal government.
