Monestime, Humphrey Enroll for Spring Term at Moorpark

Marc Monestime and Mack Humphrey, former Thousand Oaks High football players who returned to the area after redshirting at the University of Montana during the fall semester, have enrolled at Moorpark College and intend to play football there next fall, Monestime said Tuesday.
Monestime, who established a Ventura County career rushing record with 4,054 yards at Thousand Oaks, and Humphrey, an All-Southern Section linebacker, felt they had been slighted at Montana.
At Moorpark, Monestime and Humphrey will rejoin fullback Mike Moore, a former Thousand Oaks teammate. The trio helped bring Thousand Oaks its first Coastal Conference football championship in 1987.
Monestime said that he hoped a successful season would bring subsequent Division I scholarship offers.
“It depends on what kind of year I have, but I want to transfer from there and go Division I,” he said. “Maybe even Pac-10.”
