Court Postpones Canyons Players’ Arraignment

The arraignment of 5 College of the Canyons basketball players arrested last weekend after a scuffle with off-duty sheriff’s deputies outside a Santa Clarita Valley restaurant was postponed Wednesday until March 8. Newhall Municipal Judge H. Keith Bryan granted the request of the players’ attorneys.
Michael Collins and Loren Cash face charges of disturbing the peace by fighting and also resisting, obstructing and delaying a peace officer. Deon Myricks and Aaron Clark face battery charges against a police officer and emergency personnel and a charge of resisting, obstructing and delaying a peace officer. Price faces a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. All are misdemeanor charges.
