50% Pay Raise for Federal Officials

My support was with President Reagan for eight years and many inanities. I departed when he recommended the monstrous federal pay hike, including 55% more for his pension. Ironically, The Times, which rarely agreed with the President, is now in his corner supporting the pay hike that all the federal officials will receive until the grave.
Soon (Assembly Speaker) Willie Brown will manage a similar California hike and Reagan will pocket more.
