A winning conference record is within reach of Cal State Long Beach, which will end its football season with a game against Nevada Las Vegas today at noon at Veterans Stadium.
Although the 49ers are 3-8 overall--their worst record since 1981--they are 3-3 in the Big West Conference.
A victory would enable Long Beach to finish in a third-place tie with Utah State and San Jose State.
Las Vegas is 3-7 and 2-4.
