Local News in Brief : Man Killed in Accident on San Diego Freeway

An unidentified man was killed Tuesday after his pickup slammed into the back of a disabled truck on the San Diego Freeway and exploded in flames, authorities said.
The 7:20 p.m. accident just north of the Ventura Freeway in Sherman Oaks forced closure of the freeway’s southbound lanes for several hours, authorities said.
The victim was not identified pending notification of relatives. There were no other injuries, authorities said.
