CLU Knocked Out of Volleyball Playoffs

After backing into the NAIA District 3 playoffs, the Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team made a quick exit from postseason play Tuesday, losing a first-round match to Westmont, 15-4, 15-7, 15-10 in Montecito.

Cheryl Almond and Samantha Bennett led Cal Lutheran (11-15)--which lost its last 2 regular-season matches--with 8 kills each. They also combined for 13 digs.
