Police Tuesday were looking for a fourth suspect in the stabbing Monday of a 15-year-old student at Los Amigos High School.
Police Sgt. Larry Griswold said that four people jumped the youth as he walked through the school courtyard at 7 a.m. They pushed him to the ground and stabbed him lightly in the stomach, chest and one arm before he broke free, Griswold said, adding that the boy was only slightly wounded.
Officers arrested three people on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the stabbing, which police believe involved a Southeast Asian gang. Arrested were a 15-year-old male, who was taken to Juvenile Hall, a 15-year-old female, released to her relatives, and Hien Van Hoang, 18, of Santa Ana, who was booked into Orange County Jail.
The fourth suspect is described as a man between the ages of 18 and 20.
