Castle & Cooke’s third-quarter profit rose almost 7% from a year ago to $30.7 million. Revenue for the Los Angeles-based holding company for Dole Food Co. and Oceanic Properties Inc. increased 39% to $654 million. Dole Food achieved significantly improved results compared to last year, primarily because of its fresh-fruit operations. Oceanic Properties reported higher profit from increased sales at its Hawaiian residential developments.
